Challenge Extended, Ep: 002 – Tyler Carter, 2x Paralympian
Tyler Carter is a 2x Paralympian and member of the United States Paralympic Alpine Ski Team who lost his right leg below the knee at the age of one due to a congenital condition. Thanks to a combined effort from the Pennsylvania Center for Adapted Sports and the National Sports Center for the Disabled, Tyler fell in love with skiing and quickly moved up in the standings. He represented Team USA at the 2014 Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia and the 2018 Paralympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Tyler serves as an ambassador for TrueSport, one of Disabled Sports USA partner organizations that focus on promoting a positive youth sport experience through sportsmanship, character building, and healthy performance. We talk about his journey to this point and what is on the horizon for him in the future.
