Megan Blunk was active in sports growing up. A month before her high school graduation, she was involved in a motorcycle accident that paralyzed her from the waist down. She found out about the sport of wheelchair basketball and earned a scholarship to play at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
Megan Blunk has been an integral member of the U.S. women’s wheelchair basketball national team, helping them to win gold at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio. Megan has been open and honest about mental illness and hopes to help others along the way.
